You should be aware that wood is a natural product and that consequences of the natural working of wood are not covered under any warranty.
The guarantee expires if no notice was taken of the leg – and / or maintenance instructions.
Each appointment must guarantee in writing , via your Cambrillo dealer made within 8 days after adoption. 10 years after the purchase date will lapse guarantee.
Proof of purchase, with date of purchase and your point of purchase, together with the report of the carbimeting your subfloor prior to installation, serves as a guarantee.

We hope you enjoy your new Cambrillo floor.

Read these instructions carefully before you start with assemble.

Installation instructions

The Cambrillo floors are constructed in 2 layers, one layer of high-grade birch plywood, cross links, cold glued with thereon a top layer of oak.

This construction ensures a minimal operation of the floorboards.
The Cambrillo floors can be laid in two ways:

  • directly bonded to the substrate
  • floating on a right subfloor

Directly bonded to the substrate

Check the flatness and tensile strength of the substrate (see standards WTCB). Consult your Cambrillo dealer for the right glue and adhesive.

The surface must be dry enough, up to 2% in concrete , 0.5 % for anhydrite.
This should be determined through a carbimeting . Always ask your installer for the measurement report.

Floating installation on a proper subfloor

Depending on the circumstances you can choose from a wide selection of subfloors. This choice is determined based on the following properties:

  • Levelling
  • Impact sound insulation
  • Over sound reductive
  • Suitable for Underfloor heating

Always choose a subfloor provided of adequate vapor barrier .
Make sure when you are placing the underlay, that the surface should be sufficiently flat, with maximum height of 2 mm.

Control and installation

Check each plank for damage(s) and / or production errors.
You should be aware that it is a natural product, that is allowed a maximum deviation of 5% on the specification!
Do not use boards with an error. Put them aside or try to saw it.
Mixing floorboards from at least 10 different packs, like that you restrict color – and texture differences to a minimum and you obtain the best results.
It is of the utmost importance that the parquet surrounding walls, radiators , window – and door frames, are sufficient kept free, in function of the number of running meters / surface .

At an installation on floor heating, the heating should be off. After installation the floor should be heating slowly increase to a maximum of 26 ° C.

Before laying it is appropriate the floorboards to acclimatise for at least 48 hours in the room where the boards are to be placed . Let above the floorboards in their vapor permeable packaging and lay them flat on the ground . Not piling up against an outside wall or straighten .

The relative humidity of the room should be between 50 and 65 % and the temperature between 18 ° C and 20 ° C. After acclimating the flooring can be extracted.

  1. Be careful after using a piece of floorboard and / or subfloor or the doors are going open smoothly. If not, you need to shorten the doors at the underside until there is a minimum clearance of 3 mm.
  2. Start in the left corner with the first floor piece, with the groove side against the wall, keep enough free space along the wall as a function of the number of linear meters / or placed surface .
  3. Connect the end face of the first panel with the second one and work like that on the first row.
  4. Measure at the end of the row the last board and short off. Please note that there has to be sufficient space kept free, as a function of the number of linear meters / surface.
  5. Start the second row with the remaining abbreviated floor part. Always use parts of at least 30 cm in length.
  6. Determine the diameter of any existing plumbing tubes and count at least 10mm. Drill the hole or holes and saw the board right through the height of the hole or holes. Place the sawed piece back after the board has been laid.

Finishing step

Cut the leftover debris of films of any subfloor along the road sides . Clean dust and place the skirting boards.

First maintenance

Clean the floor and dust. Preferably apply immediately after laying Floorservice maintenance oil. Read carefully the instructions on the package.

Maintenance oil, depending on the use of the floor, apply this 1 or 2 times per year. In bathrooms and / or kitchens apply this 4 times a year.

Daily maintenance

Everyday can be vacuumed or mopped the floor with a well wrung out , still slightly wet mop . Abundant use of water when cleaning is not allowed. Prevent moisture via seams, connections and the like are below or in the woods . Water or moisture in the wood can cause swelling, expansion , stains or unwanted infestations.

Use only cleaning products tailored to the flooring , use preferably Faxe floor soap.

The natural effect of wood flooring

The floor has the least effect when the relative humidity of the room is approximately 55%. To keep this constant is recommended to use humidifiers or dehumidifiers .
